Apparently he purchased quite a few items of St Abbs Lifeboat merchandise to send to Her Majesty.
Colven : “ahm no shair….he was gie ***** when they said she couldnae accept the gifts as she was charities patron…. could hae seen her rockin the “Save St Abbs Lifeboat” t shirt at a gala….said they would gie the gifts tae charity!…ayways expected to see some charity laddie roaming London in the auld t -shirt” (website moderators note: we might’ve edited that last bit a wee bit!)
