I recall how shocked I was when I heard the news about the RNLI closing St Abbs lifeboat. I set up the online petition, my dive club Robinhood dive club shared the link far and wide! We did fundraisers with chilli nights at the local bonfire and held a car boot sale. I badgered Eugine who was then BSAC’s chairman to get BSAC to support the campaign which he duly did after visiting St Abbs for himself. I even wrote to Prince William and Prince Charles as he was then. People everywhere rallied for the lifeboat and I for one was overjoyed when I saw the news that Boyd Tunnock had agreed to help save the lifeboat. I still follow the progress and have several goodies to continue my support. Keep up the good work team!
