So MANY to thank for our Glorious Gala – you are all amazing

As the dust settles on our Gala field we must now say a huge thank you to everyone who helped, donated and supported us before during and after the big day on Saturday 2nd August 2025.

For the yummy side of things thanks go to Giacopazzis for ice creams, Trotters for BBQ rolls, Morrisons and Tescos for a whole range of goodies, Ebbcarrs Cafe for donuts and muffins, The Old School Cafe for scones, and a whole army of village bakers for the cake stall.

In terms of logistics, a big thank you to Annabel and Tom Blackburn for the use of the Pumpkin Patch for parking which is so important for capacity, and thanks to Eyemouth Rotary for the difficult job of supervising the car park and traffic. Thankyou also to Coldingham Gala for the loan of equipment as well as the gifting of beer and rolls and, most generously, the gazebo and marquee. Thanks to the Campbell family for the donation of eating essentials! Also thanks to the Scottish Borders Council for sorting the litter and traffic signage. Thanks to Barbra who does so much in terms of ticketing, raffle prize collection and storage of gala goodies before the big day. Thanks as always to Jim Vanko for getting the Gala adverts out far and wide – and yes – a good idea to get new smaller ones next year!

On the entertainment front, a massive thank you to the Coldingham Ukuleles, Just John, Frank Stride Band and the Rag Bag Morris Dancers. Thanks for keeping us toe tapping and smiling.

On the merch side of things, thanks as always goes to the amazing Dunbar T-shirt shop for keeping the colour a secret whilst producing boxes and boxes of Tees for the day. So what’s the colour for year 10 eh Steve? Tell us, tell us!

And last but not least, thanks to all the car booters, the tombola and raffle donors, the stall holders, the volunteers that manned the stalls and the putting green, the face painters, the crew that flipped burgers as well as letting delighted kids climb aboard the lifeboat, to everyone who set up and cleaned up…and finally to the Fundraising Committee headed up by Helen without whom none of this would happen.

Blimey….that’s a lot of thank yous… including also of course, a thank you to all of you who came and made the day so fantastic.

Oh….and thank you to the weather….
