We were so delighted when Duns Swimming Pool donated a kids pool party to the Lifeboat to be the prize for this years Grand Draw. The prize involved a great fun day for up to 40 kids to bounce about on a huge dual run inflatable with a room available for a birthday tea afterwards. We had SO many adults asking if it was suitable for them to have a play but sadly for the grown-ups, the answer was no – this was just for youngsters. Maria got busy arranging the printing of raffle tickets and sending out tickets to our own Lifeboat Shop, to our wonderful local post offices at Reston and Coldingham as well as to the Waterloo Arms in Chirnside. It wasn’t long before ticket sales were booming and the Grand Draw drew near. On 29th September the team from Duns Swimming Pool drew the winning tickets and revealed that the draw had made an amazing £625 for the Lifeboat.
